I’m a Boston-based freelance writer and editor. I started my career in print magazines as a nutrition editorial assistant at First for Women in 2013. Over the next four and a half years, I worked on nearly every nutrition, health, fitness and food column in the magazine while learning how to produce top-notch service journalism that’s approachable and actionable.

A move to Washington, DC in 2017 spurred the start of my freelance career, in which I continued to cover nutrition, health and food while also expanding to other lifestyle topics, wellness and otherwise. I’ve written reported articles, interviewed top doctors, authors and celebrities and translated the experiences of real women into relatable, life-changing features for readers. You can find my work in print and online at nationally recognized publications and award-winning brands.

In 2018, I successfully pitched myself to author The OMAD Diet, a book about the benefits of intermittent fasting with one meal a day, complete with over 100 recipes that I developed myself. In 2020, I began managing and editing single-issue, special-interest print magazines for Centennial Media on numerous wellness-related topics.

While much of my work has centered around health and wellness, I’ve also written about topics including the book publishing industry, cloud-based technology and higher education.

When I’m not working, you can find me on a mountain (in boots or on a snowboard), at a brewery, in the kitchen, in an exercise class (perhaps teaching) or in front of my computer working on a romance novel. And there’s a good chance my husband, son and rescue pup are close by.
